Warminster School, a co-educational boarding and day school in Wiltshire for children aged 2 to 18, has today announced it will be joining the QED Schools Group. QED is a brand-new innovative schools’ group, built to challenge convention and prepare young people for a rapidly changing world. Founded in 1707 and located on a 60-acre campus in Warminster, Warminster School is the second International Baccalaureate (IB) school to join QED.
QED Schools Group has been created by an experienced, proven and award-winning senior team of educationalists grounded in the three core values of courage, kindness and integrity.
Beverley Sunderland, Chair of Governors at Warminster School, said: “I am delighted that Warminster School is to join QED Schools Group, as one of a very select number of HMC schools across the UK invited to do so. At Warminster, our mission is to develop and nurture rounded individuals with a love of learning and strong moral values within a supportive and inspiring community. The security and platform QED Schools Group provides will enable us to build on this, continuing to provide our pupils with the tools they need to succeed both academically and personally”.
She added, “The Governors, along with the current Head, Matt Williams and the Executive Team, are unanimous in their belief that QED School Group is the ideal partner for Warminster's future. Following our announcement last month that from September 2026, the Prep School will ‘move over the road’ to the Senior School campus bringing the whole community together on one site, this is our final update to provide long-term stability for the whole school community. Life at Warminster School will continue as normal, and the Executive Team will continue to run the school”.
Anita Gleave, CEO, QED Schools Group, said: “QED Schools Group is thrilled to be partnering with Warminster School. Our values and belief in the joy of nurturing individuality and human potential, putting children at the centre of all we do, are entirely aligned, and we are so pleased to be part of the Warminster community”.
She added, “Warminster School is known for fostering a supportive and nurturing environment that unlocks the potential within each pupil, allowing all children to discover their own unique talents and passions. QED Schools Group fundamentally supports and celebrates this strength and looks forward to supporting Warminster to continue this excellent work”.
